When businesses began to close in March 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, I worked with photographer and curator Jackie Bailey Labovitz to create content for her website that would help visitors, now unable to visit the gallery, learn more about each of the native plants in her series, "Understory."  Using information from her website and book of the same title, I created slides to accompany each of her exquisite photographs that graphically represented the plant's blooming season, height, and a U.S. distribution, along with a "fun fact" excerpted from book's text, written by Jack Sanders. The result was an online exhibit that we called UNDERstory (emphasizing the story behind each plant), that allowed viewers to learn more about these native plants.

In addition to the online slideshow, we began an instagram account to post the plants in their blooming order during the growing season. I took the slideshow graphics and redesigned them in the Facebook/Instagram stories format to post along with each plant. Collecting these as "Highlights" on the profile created a social media-friendly version of the slideshow for followers .
